Daily Reflections: The Greatest of These is Love

Scott O’Neill
Reading Overview:
Today's readings emphasize the power and importance of love. In Corinthians, Paul speaks of love as the ultimate spiritual gift that surpasses all others. Jesus, in the Gospel, highlights the misguidedness of those who fail to recognize true wisdom, often criticizing others without understanding.

Reflection:
Love is the foundation of our faith. Without it, our actions and words are empty. Jesus calls us to embody love in all aspects of our lives, not just in words but in actions and attitudes.

Application:
Evaluate your relationships and actions. Are they rooted in love, patience, and kindness? Seek to express love genuinely, even when it’s difficult, as love is the true reflection of Christ within us.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, fill our hearts with Your love. Help us to see others through Your eyes and act with patience, kindness, and humility. May our lives be a testament to Your boundless love. Amen.
