Daily Reflections: God's Co-Workers

Scott O’Neill

Reading Overview:
Today’s readings emphasize the unity and cooperation required in God’s work. St. Paul speaks of the believers as God’s field, where different workers contribute but only God causes the growth. In the Gospel, Jesus heals Simon’s mother-in-law and many others, showcasing His authority and care for all.

Reflection:
We are reminded that, while we each have a role in God’s plan, it is ultimately God who brings about growth and healing. Our task is to remain faithful and collaborative, allowing God to work through us.

Application:
Reflect on your role in God’s work. Are there areas where you need to collaborate more with others, trusting God to bring about the growth? Seek to work harmoniously with others in faith, knowing that each contribution is valuable.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help us to be faithful co-workers in Your field. Grant us the humility to recognize that all growth comes from You, and the grace to work together in unity for Your glory. Amen.
