Daily Reflections: Embrace the Eternal Now
Please Share
Reading Overview:
St. Paul urges believers to remain as they are, whether married or single, because time is running short and the present world is passing away (1 Cor 7:25-31). In the Gospel (Luke 6:20-26), Jesus proclaims blessings on the poor, the hungry, and those who suffer for their faith, while warning the rich and satisfied of future woes.
Reflection:
The readings remind us that our current life is fleeting. Earthly pleasures and pains will fade, but God’s Kingdom is eternal. We should focus less on worldly concerns and more on our spiritual journey, trusting in God's eternal plan.
Application:
In a world full of distractions, this is a call to center our lives on Christ. Whatever situation we find ourselves in, let us serve God faithfully and joyfully, remembering that eternal happiness awaits those who follow Him.
Prayer:
Lord, help us to focus on Your eternal Kingdom and not be consumed by the passing concerns of this world. Grant us the grace to live each moment for You. Amen.
