Announcement: The Birth of "Reluctant Saint"

Scott O’Neill
Hello, Dear Friends,

I am thrilled beyond words to announce the launch of "Reluctant Saint," a journey that marks a monumental transformation in our lives. This is not just another blog; it's a sanctuary where we can all grow, heal, and find joy together. This is where we will experience the grace of Jesus, embrace our core values, and allow healing to take root in our hearts.

Our Purpose

The purpose of "Reluctant Saint" is to create a community grounded in the grace of Jesus Christ. We aim to foster an environment where forgiveness, mercy, fun, and laughter flourish. Here, we will learn to give and receive mercy, understand the grieving process, and accept the personal freedom and liberty provided by Jesus.

Target Audience

Our target audience includes anyone seeking spiritual growth, healing, and a deeper connection with Jesus. Whether you're just starting your journey or have been walking with Christ for years, "Reluctant Saint" welcomes you. This is a place for seekers, believers, and those who are reluctant yet hopeful, just like the name suggests.

Code of Conduct

To ensure that "Reluctant Saint" remains a safe and welcoming space for all, we have established the following code of conduct:

1. Respect: Treat everyone with kindness and respect. Differences in opinions are welcome, but they must be expressed with love and consideration.
2. Forgiveness: Practice forgiveness towards others and yourself. Remember Earl Nightingale's wisdom: "Forgive everyone who has ever hurt you, truly forgive them. And then forgive yourself."
3. Encouragement: Support and uplift one another. Share your stories, victories, and challenges without fear of judgment.
4. Joy: Embrace fun and laughter. Lighten up and find joy in the journey, no matter where it takes you.
5. Honesty: Be honest with yourself and others. Authenticity is the key to true healing and growth.

Embracing Joy and Laughter

While all these areas are vital, I will be spending a lot of time on fun and laughter. Throughout my life, I've been told to "lighten up." Now, I am ready to embrace this advice fully. I need to discover what fun and laughter mean to me personally—to be free to laugh and just have fun. I see people around me moving effortlessly from state to state, with laughter and joy as a constant companion. This isn't about jealousy or envy; it's about finally being ready to experience that freedom for myself.

A Personal Note

Earl Nightingale once said, "Forgive everyone who has ever hurt you, truly forgive them. And then forgive yourself." I believe I have accomplished this, except for one thing: forgiving God. Yes, I know it sounds unusual, but I am almost there. Hence, the name "Reluctant Saint"—a testament to my journey towards complete forgiveness and acceptance.

As we embark on this journey together, I invite you to join me in discovering the transformative power of Jesus's grace, the joy of mercy, and the freedom of laughter. Let's support each other, learn from each other, and, most importantly, have fun along the way.

Peace and love to you all.

With heartfelt excitement,
Scott O'Neill
